John RobinsonChairman, InterSearch Middle EastJohn’s association with the Middle East is extensive and goes back over 38 years. After leaving McKinsey in London, he lived in Kuwait from 1977 to 1986 as Head of Organisation & Manpower Planning with Kuwait Oil Company, where he gained a good understanding of the culture and business environment of the region.
John joined InterSearch in 1991, when he established InterSearch Australia and focused on recruiting international specialist candidates from around the world, to work in the Middle East region. John has always taken positions of responsibility and has acted as Board Director in InterSearch Worldwide for three years and was also Chairman of the Standards & Quality Committee. He is currently the InterSearch Worldwide Practice Group Leader for the Oil & Gas Sector.
Prior to his executive search career, John was both in HR Management and senior leadership roles with organisations in UK, Middle East and Australia. John then established InterSearch Middle East by opening the first office in Dubai in 1998 and since that time has supported clients in the MEA region with his extensive knowledge and experience of recruiting in the region.
John has a BSc in Mathematics & Statistics from the University of St Andrews in Scotland.

Samantha RobinsonManaging Director, InterSearch Middle EastSam has almost 20 years combined executive search and in-house recruitment experience. She has developed her career with InterSearch in both Australia & Middle East. Sam was born in Kuwait, educated in Australia and lived in London for a number of years working within the HR teams of Merrill Lynch and BP International.
In the Middle East, she worked with Standard Chartered Bank as the Regional Talent Acquisition Specialist, Middle East, Pakistan & Africa (MEPA); focusing on senior-level hires as well as committing to the global diversity agenda to attract Arab, African & female talent into the organisation.
Samantha has been back in the Middle East region over 11 years. She re-joined InterSearch initially as the General Manager of Oman, based in Muscat for 4.5 years, before becoming the General Manager of the UAE business and was promoted to MD Middle East in 2016.
She is responsible for building and leading a multi-cultural team of high-performing Consultants and Research Associates across multiple offices around the GCC, and serving a variety of clients across the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region.
Sam personally focuses on executing executive search assignments in the Banking & Finance, Aviation and Family Groups. She is currently the InterSearch Worldwide Industry Group Leader for the Financial Services sector.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Science, with a major in Psychology, from the University of Melbourne in Australia.
